The Power of Thought & Techniques to Shift Your Focus

If you’ve read my other posts, you probably already know that I’m a big believer when it comes to Law of Attraction & the power of thought. I believe that you create everything that happens to you based on your thoughts. This law is ALWAYS in effect, whether you believe it or not. 

Of course, I am far from a perfect human, but I do my best to follow my own advice and pay attention to my thoughts as much as possible. I definitely have “off days” or even “off weeks/ months”. Whenever I notice my energy shifting, I try to bring myself back into a high vibration.

By using the techniques below on a consistent basis, I can usually pull myself out of the low vibe mode, and shift my focus. Try some of these tips, and let me know your thoughts! I know if you try these techniques that they will work for you as well!

5 Ways to a High-Vibe Frequency:

1. Gratitude Lists- 

SO key. Being grateful and realizing what you DO have is a great way to shift your perspective and mood. Studies have been done to prove that this stuff really works. Try to jot down at least three things  per day that you are grateful for. Smile while you reflect, and remember you have so much to be thankful for. Do it in the morning or at night, or even both!

2. Meditation- 

I also mentioned this in a previous post where I discuss self-care, but this is a great way to get your day started, or to help you relax and sleep better at night. Meditation not only helps with relaxation, but will also help you to RECOGNIZE your thoughts, and therefore, challenge them. Check out Headspace (my favourite) to try guided meditation for free.

3. Practice Affirmations-

Research shows (over and over again) how powerful affirmations can be for increasing your self-worth. When you repeat them over and over in your head, you start to believe it! I have a few affirmations posted on my mirror that I read out loud every morning and every night. Some good examples I like are: “I’m going to have an amazing day today” & “I’m beautiful, smart and worthy of amazing things” Use whatever works for you!

4. Listen to Inspirational Podcasts-

Listening to an inspirational podcasts is my favourite way to start my day. It usually gets me into a pretty positive mindset, and I feel so ready to go and rock my day. I have a two-hour commute into Toronto, so I use my driving time to listen to them. I also like to listen to Podcasts when I walk my dog, Jack. My favourite shows include: Style Your Mind by Cara Alwill Leyba, The School of Greatness by Lewis Howes, & The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast by Lauryn Evarts & Michael Bosstick

5. Read More Books-

    Great techniques. Will have to check out those podcasts as I too commute 2 hours a day.
