Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is off to an excellent start so far. Today, we’re going to go over my list of current lifestyle favourites. I did a favourites post back in August, and many of you really liked it. Since then, I’ve come across some new products that I’m completely obsessed with, so I thought I’d share them with you today. If you guys enjoy posts like this, please let me know down below. If you do, I may try to do one post like this per quarter! As usual, all opinions in this post are 100% my own, and although affiliate links are used on a few on these products, these products were all purchased with my own money. Alright, let’s get into it.

HEALTH & BEAUTY

ONE // FANOLA NO YELLOW SHAMPOO

No word of a lie, this stuff is NO JOKE. I have tried so many purple shampoos for my blonde hair, and this one blows every single other formula out of the water. People either love it or hate it. This shampoo is perfect for the blonde who prefers ashy tones (like me) and wants NO YELLOW. Seriously, if that’s you, you need this stuff. Be careful though, because if you use it too often, your hair WILL turn purple. I wash my hair with it once per week and never have an issue.

TWO // REJUVACOTE NAIL GROWTH TREATMENT

I took off my acrylics (for good) about two months ago. Previous to this, I’d had them on for almost ten years. TEN YEARS, GUYS! My nails were BEYOND damaged. They were actually paper thin and they hurt to just touch. I’ve been using this clear polish now for two months, and my nails have strengthened so, so much. They are still not the length I would like, but the thickness and strength of them is incredible. Definitely worth a try if you have weak or damaged nails, like I did.

THREE // ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BRONZER IN ‘SADDLE’

From now on, this guy is my GO-TO bronzer, year round. The thing I love about this formula is that it never appears streaky or “muddy”. It leaves you with a nice bronzed look to the skin, while still looking very natural. I also LOVE this shade because it is a nice in-between colour. It is not too ashy as some contour shades are, yet it’s far from orange. Try it out- you’ll see what I mean.

FOUR // MAC LIPSTICK IN ‘MEHR’

Although I’m normally a “nude lip” kind of girl, this deep mauve shade has stolen my heart. It’s pink without being TOO pink, if you know what I mean. It makes me feel bold and sexy without going out of my comfort zone, as far as lip shades go. Plus, as you may already know, Mac’s lipstick formula is SO hard to beat (amazing longevity).

FIVE // THAYER’S WITCH HAZEL TONER

I’m actually so impressed with my skin (already) that I’m planning to do a separate post with my updated skincare routine. That being said, this toner is HEAVEN. I have tried so many toners, and I think I’ve finally found one that seems like it actually DOES something. I apply this toner twice per day, and have seen a noticeable difference with my acne (especially around my jaw area) and oil levels.

SIX // BLACKHEAD REMOVER BY UBITREE

I’d been so curious about this little tool for so long, and I’m so glad I finally tried it out. Basically, it’s like a vacuum for your skin. The tool comes with four different suction heads that you can easily switch out, based on the area of skin you are working with. For me, I use the smallest suction tool as I like to focus on my nose (blackheads) the most. It does not hurt to use, although you can feel the suction for sure. The amount of GUNK that comes out of your face though… Oh my goodness. TRY IT!

SEVEN // AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY MASK

As I mentioned above, I’ve recently changed up my skincare routine. It’s hard to say which of these three products is making the biggest difference (because I’ve added all three), but this mask is staying with me from now on! I also like this mask because it’s so easy to use and the tub will go a loooong way. You simply mix the powder with equal parts water or apple cider vinegar and mix. That’s it! Then, you apply it all over your face and leave it on for twenty minutes. You can definitely feel a tingling sensation when you apply this mask to your face. It dries, like actual clay would, and you simply wash it off. Your skin feels so healthy and clean afterwards. I’m really liking it so far.

EIGHT // ADVIL PM

I know, I know. This is such a weird item to have on a “favourites” list.. but anyways. I used to be the girl that NEVER had trouble sleeping. You can actually read my post here, to see ten tips I use to help with sleep. Even though these tips DO help me, lately, there are some nights where I find it pretty much impossible to get to sleep. On these rare, but stressful nights, Advil PM is my go-to. Seriously, try not to get into the habit of taking these. I only take MAYBE one per week (if I absolutely need to). If you’re like me though and are having major sleep issues, I promise ya, they do the trick.

MISCELLANEOUS

NINE // LA CROIX SPARKLING WATER IN ORANGE

Just like Perrier, but better. I’m totally obsessed with not only the taste of this drink, but the packaging as well. Super cute, delicious and healthy. No added sugar! PS. The orange flavour is the best!

TEN // SONOMA SUPERSOFT WAFFLE TUNIC

I talked about this sweater in my Black Friday Haul back in November. Seriously, I can’t stop wearing this damn thing. It is so incredibly soft and warm, and I also love that I can dress up this sweater with a pair of jeans and heels, or wear it casually with leggings and boots. Definitely a MUST-HAVE!

ELEVEN // WINTER BOOTS FROM SPRING

I finally broke up with my UGGs. It’s been a long time coming. I found these boots at Spring, and I absolutely love them. They are comfortable, affordable, warm, and easy to maintain. Unlike with UGGs, I have had no issues with salt sticking to them, or keeping them clean. LOVE em.

ENTERTAINMENT (BOOKS, NETFLIX,
MOVIES & PODCASTS)

TWELVE // AUDIBLE APP

I’ve had this app for a while now, however I just recently started using it on a daily basis. If you’re one of those people who wants to read, but can never find the time, TRY AUDIBLE. Your books are literally read TO you. I like to use this app when I am walking the dog or commuting to work. You also get a free book of your choice each month, which makes it well worth the price.

THIRTEEN // LIKE SHE OWNS BY PLACE BY CARA ALWILL LEYBA

If you know me well, you probably know I’m obsessed with Cara Alwill Leyba. She is an Author, Life Coach & Podcaster. I’ve been listening to her Podcast, Style Your Mind, for almost a year now and am always inspired and motivated after listening to her show. I can now officially say, her books are just as good. This book in particular, is a must-read. She talks about finding confidence in yourself EXACTLY AS YOU ARE RIGHT NOW!

FOURTEEN // GIRL, WASH YOUR FACE BY RACHEL HOLLIS

Another girl-boss read, for sure. If you don’t know who Rachel Hollis is, I’ll fill you in. Rachel Hollis is an Author,  Motivational Speaker and Blogger who has changed so many lives. Girl, Wash Your Face is a mix between memoir and self-help book, directed to the “everyday woman”. Rachel teaches you, based on her own experiences, how to combat your own limiting beliefs and start living a life you are proud of. Her authenticity and humour in this book is refreshing. Check it out!

FIFTEEN // THE ART OF HAPPINESS BY DALAI LAMA & HOWARD C. CUTLER. M.D.

Definitely a deeper and more insightful read. This book is truly an eyeopener. The Art of Happiness is written by Psychiatrist, Howard Cutler, along with the Dalai Lama himself, in an interview format (somewhat). Cutler provides context and quotes the Dalai Lama while discovering the Buddhist beliefs on what true happiness is all about. Whether you have Buddhist beliefs or not, Cutler simply explains how to apply these techniques to Western culture.

SIXTEEN // ASK AND IT IS GIVEN BY ESTHER & JERRY HICKS

If you’ve ever been interested in Law of Attraction, this is the book for you. Although it can be a bit hard to wrap your head around at first, Esther & Jerry Hicks are the true OGs when it comes to explaining and understanding how the Law of Attraction works. If you’re open to new ideas and beliefs, I highly recommend giving this a read (or a listen). You can seriously change your life in the process.

SEVENTEEN // YOU

This one doesn’t even need an introduction, I’m sure. The new Netflix series, “You” has everyone & their mothers binge watching this show for hours on end. If you haven’t seen it yet, close this page and go watch it now. Seriously. It’s that good. The show is a psychological thriller that follows the lives of a young man and woman who “fall in love”. Little does she know, he has been stalking her since the first time they met. I don’t want to give away too much, but if you are into shows that keep on you on the edge of your seat, then definitely check it out.
PS. I watched the entire series in 3 days.

EIGHTEEN // WORKIN’ MOMS

Another new Netflix series worth mentioning is, Workin’ Moms. This show is absolutely hilarious. It focuses on new mothers who struggle with their day-to-day lives while trying to raise newborns. I love this show as it is light, funny and definitely an “easy watch”. Plus, episodes are only 20 minutes long.

NINETEEN // A STAR IS BORN

By far, my favourite movie of 2018 would have to be A Star Is Born. This movie will have you singing, laughing and crying all at once. In this movie, a famous musician (Bradley Cooper’s character) falls in love with & discovers a young and talented artist (Lady Gaga’s character). The movie highlights their love story, her rising fame, and the internal demons that haunt Jackson along the way. The music in this movie is outstanding, as well. Who knew Bradley Cooper was such an amazing singer AND guitar player? Check it out for sure, but be sure to have tissues on deck!

TWENTY // EARN YOUR HAPPY PODCAST BY LORI HARDER

My newest favourite podcast is Earn Your Happy, by Lori Harder. Lori comes out with weekly episodes in this hilarious and motivational podcast show. Her sense of humour goes well with her light-hearted approach to self-help. Some of my favourite episodes are: “The Tools of Manifestation with Rachel Luna”, “What Shift Did You Make To Get Out of Victim Mentality?” and “Divorce Your Negative Patterns”.

There you have it! My top twenty lifestyle favourites at the current moment. Let me know down below what you’re currently obsessing over!

As always, have an amazing week and I will talk to you soon.

YES to the orange La Croix!! Have some in my fridge now and I am curious about the Advil PM… may have to have that on hand as well, for after baby comes. I also love a good book and author recommendation! There is a lot of good in this but I would have to say that these are what stood out to me. Thanks for the variety!!

I use witch hazel on my skin as well and have done for such a long time and my skin absolutely loves me for it. I recommend it to everyone. Also, La Croix is the best, but I love the Key Lime flavor.

    Great list! x

I loved You as well. I don’t use many products really, so I don’t have any beauty type favorites. But I do watch a lot of Netflix. And my current favorites are Luther and Russian Doll!
