25 Date Ideas That Aren’t Dinner & A Movie

25 Date Ideas That Aren’t Dinner & A Movie

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought what better time to pop on here and share 25 creative & unique date ideas, that aren’t dinner & a movie. Now, I’m not hating on going out for dinners or seeing movies. I actually do like doing both of those things. That being said though, if that’s your typical activity for date night, it can get boring after a while.

Sometimes, it’s nice to switch it up. By experiencing new and creative activities together, it helps you to bond and see a different side to your partner. Plus, it prevents your attraction and spark from fizzling out.

Let me know down below what you are planning to do tomorrow!
PS. If you’re single (like I am) THAT’S TOTALLY FINE! Valentine’s Day is NOT just for lovers – it is for friends, family, and anyone else you LOVE.
Be sure to let those close to you know how much they mean to you and enjoy this special day with gratitude!

1. Paint Nite

These are located all over every city, and are so much fun! Try out your artistic side, while enjoying a cocktail!
PS. It’s really a lot easier than it looks, as you will have a professional Artist guiding you through the painting, step by step.

2. Axe Throwing –

A work-out, stress relief, and chance to show off, all in one.

3. Visit A Spa Together –

Couples massages, am I right? You can even hit up a day spa in your area, to enjoy treatments and the facilities to make a day out of it. If you are in the GTA, check out Millcroft Inn & Spa. They have lovely facilities as well as water therapies.

4. Go Bowling –

I actually did this the other day, and forgot how much fun it is!

5. Go To A Comedy Club –

There is simply nothing better than laughing with your significant other.

6. Go Play Pool –

Another fun, flirty and competitive activity to enjoy with your partner.

7. Road Trip –

Go somewhere neither of you have been before and just explore!

8. Go Out For Brunch –

If deep down, you’re a true foodie, try BRUNCH! Morning dates can be just as fun.

9. Escape Room –

If you have never been to an Escape Room before, it’s time to give it a try! You and your partner will need to work together in order to solve clues and riddles to escape from the room!

10. Live Music –

You can often find live music events for free, too, so this is a great budget-friendly idea as well!

11. Check Out An Adults Only Arcade –

In the GTA, Dave & Buster’s & The Rec Room are good places to go!

12. Go Hiking –

Obviously, this is a seasonal activity, but still a great one none the less. Enjoy nature with your partner, without being distracted by the commotion of the city hustle.

13. Rock Climbing –

This is still on MY list, but I think it would be so fun to do this with a partner.

14. Game Night –

Board games and/or cards are so much fun! Guaranteed laughter included.

15. Go To A Farmer’s Market & Cook Together –

There is something so sexy about cooking with your partner. Make something new you’ve both been wanting to try!

16. Go Swimming –

If it’s winter, go swimming at a local public pool. You could even hit up the hot tub, if that’s more your thing!

17. Take A Class Together –

There are so many options! Cooking classes, workout classes, and salsa dancing are a few examples.

18. Go Wine Tasting –

Enjoy tasting different wines and enjoying each other’s company.

19. Go Ice Skating –

If it’s summer, you could roller blade instead!

20. Have A Spa Night At Home Together –

Massages, candles & wine. Does it get any more romantic than this?

21. Have A Picnic –

I did this on a date once, and it was one of my favourite dates, to this day. So unique and fun.

22. Go Skydiving (Or Indoor Skydiving!) –

I say GO BIG OR GO HOME! However, there are lots of Indoor options available as well!

23. Go Shopping –

This is an activity that is fun, while also teaches you a lot about your partner.. You may learn something new about them and what they like!

24. Go To The Horse Races and/or Casino –

See their competitive side & maybe even win some money while you’re at it!

25. Recreate Your First Date –

I think this is such a sweet idea for couples who have been together for a while. Reminiscing on how you first met is such a great way to reconnect & feel close to your partner.

Hope you found some good ideas in this post!

Great ideas here! They recently opened a trampoline entertainment place nearby that I think would be loads of fun. I don’t think I could every convince my husband to do it – but hope to do it someday soon with a friend!
